Nurse (RGN/RMN)

Richmond House is currently looking for Registered General Nurse. We specialise in Nursing & Care homes. 

Richmond House looking for a motivated Registered General Nurse to bring fresh new skills as a Staff Nurse across Yorkshire and Humberside, with good hourly rates to experienced Registered General Nurse to join an already established team of nurses and carers, to provide constant high levels of care to the Services Users.

Salary £15.00-£17.00 an hour

Children’s Support Worker’s (CSW01-2021) 

Richmond House is looking for Children Support Workers to work in South Yorkshire to support children who have Learning Disabilities, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, and Mental Health. In this role, you will encourage children and young people to attend social activities and to develop a care plan in conjunction with parents/carers, health, and education. 

£12.00 – £14.00 an hour

Sessional / Playworker

Richmond House is looking for Sessional Support Workers/Playworker to work in group activities during the Summer Holiday, weekend s and school half terms – Days & Evenings in South Yorkshire. We work to improve the quality of life for children/young people with a Learning Disability and/or on the Autistic Spectrum and their families. The sessional worker will support Service Users in their evening, weekends and school holiday clubs and ensure service users are able to fully participate in their activities.

Flexibility is needed as this is sessional work.

£12.00 an hour

Children Support Worker / Coordinator.

Richmond House is looking for Children Support Workers and Coordinator to work in Doncaster, South Yorkshire to support children who have Learning Disabilities, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, and Mental Health. In this role you will be required to be in the field with care staff and to coordinate their duties, you will encourage children and young people to attend social activities and to develop a care plan in conjunction with parents/carers, health, and education.

£15.00 an hour 

Full-time Contracted hours 37.50 per week

Vacancies: South Yorkshire Yorkshire: Doncaster. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure the ongoing safety of the Service Users, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes.
  • Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used.
  • Supervise staff on a day-to-day basis and through formal supervision processes.
  • Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that Service Users receive the medical and clinical support they require.
  • Demand high-quality care and support delivery focused on the Service Users’ individually assessed needs and choices.
  • Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance.
  • Support new care staff in the completion of Induction Programmes, training and competency assessment.
  • Ensure that care is delivered according to the latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
  • Liaise with Social Services, GP, Schools and other professionals for a review of the service users.
  • Undertaken training appropriate to the role, as agreed with the Registered Manager, and ensure learning is shared and transferred into practice.
  • Review the daily delivery of care, including pressure area prevention, nutrition and infection prevention and control procedures. Ensure high standards of care delivery are maintained.
  • To be responsible for the safe and appropriate management, administration and recording of medication, including controlled drugs and oxygen, in accordance with Richmond House Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend all statutory and mandatory training as required by the Company in order to fulfill your duties.
  • Conduct and document care and Risk Assessments and develop Care Plans related to the assessed needs and choices of individual Service Users.
  • Ensure that areas of identified risk are appropriately monitored and outcomes recorded and acted upon e.g. Fluid and Nutrition charts, Turning Regimes, and Blood Glucose Monitoring.
  • Report all accidents and incidents promptly in accordance with Richmond House Policy.
  • Ensure accident/incident reports are written clearly and concisely and that any remedial action or learning is incorporated into care delivery.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all Service Users, Family members, staff, visitors, and other professional bodies whilst encouraging a happy, homely atmosphere.
  • Be knowledgeable about Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policies and Procedures and report any untoward events in accordance with Richmond House and Local Authority requirements.
  • Ensure that clinical equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and fully functional and report any equipment failures or damage to the Registered Manager.
  • Be aware of company Policies and Procedures and ensure requirements are incorporated into practice.
  • Ensure effective and clearly documented handover systems are maintained to facilitate the effective transfer of information between staff and shifts.
  • Attend and participate in Team Leader and staff meetings as arranged by the Registered Manager/ Leadership Teams.
  • Arrange for team meetings, staff supervision, spot checks and appraisals.
  • Schedule care staff duties in a weekly/monthly rota
  • Understand the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2008) in relation to consent and best interest decision making.
  • Ensure high standards of record keeping are maintained in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act (2008) and Essential Standards of Quality and Safety (2010) and Company requirements.
  • Co-operate with Richmond House Policies to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and the Health and Safety policies and procedures of the treatment centre, not intentionally or recklessly interfere with, or misuse, anything provided in the interests of health, safety, or welfare, in pursuance of any of the relevant statutory provisions.
  • The Post holder must at all times respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. This includes, if required to do so, obtain, process and/or use information held on a computer in a fair and lawful way, to hold data only for the specified registered purposes and to use or disclose data only to authorised persons or organisations as instructed.
