Supportive Female Needed for a Young Lady with Complex Health in Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 (CA1801)

Female Carers/Support Assistants are required for a lady who is a bed-bound with complex Health Needs, for 3 days (31.50 hours) per week. The Hours are to be arranged through a rota and can be fairly flexible to suit both employer and other team members, also to cover holidays and sickness. The hours are varied over daytime and waking night shifts which will be confirmed at the interview stage.

We’re seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with seniors and assisting them with their daily living activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our seniors with high-quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in working with seniors, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable for this role.

Richmond House is currently looking for Registered General Nurse. We specialise in Nursing & Care homes. 

Richmond House looking for a motivated Registered General Nurse to bring fresh new skills as a Staff Nurse across Yorkshire and Humberside, with good hourly rates to experienced Registered General Nurse to join an already established team of nurses and carers, to provide constant high levels of care to the Services Users.

Children’s Support Worker’s (CSW01-2021) 

Richmond House is looking for Children Support Workers to work in South Yorkshire to support children who have Learning Disabilities, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, and Mental Health. In this role, you will encourage children and young people to attend social activities and to develop a care plan in conjunction with parents/carers, health, and education. 

£9.00 – £13.00 an hour

Bespoke Children Support Worker | Durham

A Bespoke Outreach Care Package required to support a delightful nine-year-old child who has a good sense of humour and loves to be out in the community.

Overview of a young person:

  • TD has complex needs and he is totally dependent on his parents and carers to meet all of his care needs.
  • TD has a severe global developmental delay, hydrocephalus with a ventriculo-peritoneal (VP) shunt, and bilateral cerebral palsy.
  • TD is registered as severely sight impaired and he has generalised neonatal seizures. TD receives fluids and medication via his gastrostomy PEG.
  • TD is able to eat pureed foods orally. TD is doubly incontinent and wheelchair dependant.
  • TD has curvature of the spine and requires careful positioning and repositioned to prevent any pressure on his spine.

Hobbies and Interests 

  • Trips out into the community.
  • TD responds well to the sensation of movement and loves to be in vehicles, especially over rough terrain.
  • TD enjoys being taken around supermarkets as he likes the noise and the lights, he also particularly likes jewellery shops due to the lighting.
  • TD enjoys being taken out for walks, for example, at Seaham.
  • TD loves to be around other children, especially when they are noisy and mischievous.

Needs of a young person

  • TD requires support with all of his personal care, feeding, moving, and handling.
  • TD is wheelchair dependant and has completely immobile.
  • TD requires highly skilled workers to care for him and follow his therapy plans.
  • TD requires constant repositioning to prevent any pressure on his spine and ensure that his head is in a safe swallowing position as he is unable to support his own head.

Support required*

  • 2 hours Monday – Friday for Domiciliary Care for 48 weeks, one hour in the morning and an hour on a tea time.
  • 5 hours of outreach support during school terms | 39 weeks
  • 10 hours of outreach support during school holidays | 13 weeks
  • Support based on 2:1 (Mum is the primary carer)

What experience or qualifications would I need?

  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • Experience working with children/young people.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • A driving licence
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent or be currently working towards this qualification.
  • A bespoke training programme will be provided

Sessional / Playworker

Richmond House is looking for Sessional Support Workers/Playworker to work in group activities during the Summer Holiday, weekend s and school half terms – Days & Evenings in South Yorkshire. We work to improve the quality of life for children/young people with a Learning Disability and/or on the Autistic Spectrum and their families. The sessional worker will support Service Users in their evening, weekends and school holiday clubs and ensure service users are able to fully participate in their activities.

Flexibility is needed as this is sessional work.

£9.00 an hour
