Richmond House provides specialist support to children and young people, including their siblings, who present with a range of complex needs. These include, but are not limited to: Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Condition, Global Developmental Delay, Low Muscle Tone, Complex Epilepsy, Asperger Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, Depression, Dysthymia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other learning, physical, and mental disabilities, as well as sensory impairments.
Richmond House offers Alternative Provision, which serves as a pathway to placement within an Independent School, alongside the provision of overnight respite services.
These provisions are presently undergoing registration with Ofsted under the applicable children's social care and education frameworks.
It should be noted that, whilst the aforementioned educational and residential respite services fall within Ofsted's regulatory remit, the personal care provided by Richmond House is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Richmond House provides services to enable children and young people to overcome difficulties with communication, learning and life skills and give families the techniques and strategies to cope with autism through understanding a child's condition and needs by applying a familiar approach in line with education and family guidelines and agreements.
